The
genealogy of the Perillos family Part 3: The Perillos family that had abandoned Perillos |
François
II & III
The
man who received the title of Perillos, François I de Fenouillet,
was also known as “François II de Perillos”, as there
already had been a “real” “François I de Perillos”
at the start of the dynasty. François I de Fenouillet is the son
of Louis de Perillos, and the brother of Raymond IV de Perillos, as we discussed
above.
Valencia
The son of François II de Fenouillet, François III de Perillos,
stayed in the royal household of Aragon and married Juana Rabasa, born of
one of the most oldest families of Valencia and was given the house of the
barons of Dos Aguas. The family thus lived in Valencia.
The mother of Juana Rabasa was the only daughter of the house of Rabasa,
and as a result of this, the title of Rabasa was added to that of Perillos.
Their children were Giner Rabasa de Perillos (I), Francisco Rabasa de Perillos,
who died without heirs, and Catalina Rabasa de Perillos.
The
dynasty continues
The continuation of the dynasty reads like this:
In
short:
GINER RABASA DE PERELLOS I married with Carroza de Montagut (daughter of
Pedro de Montagut, Lord of Alcudia). Their children were: Giner Rabasa de
Perellos y Montagut (II), Yolante/Violante, Tristan and Jeronima Rabasa
de Perellos.
GINER
RABASA DE PERELLOS Y MONTAGUT II married Isabel Vives de Boil, having these
children as offspring: Giner Rabasa de Perellos y Vives de Boil (III), Gaspar
Rabasa de Perellos and Melchor Rabasa de Perellos.
GINER RABASA DE PERELLOS Y VIVES DE BOIL III married twice: First with Maria Mercader, which resulted in two daughters: Bruniser Rabasa de Perellos Mercador and Constanza. Next, he married Angela de Hijar, of Valencia, daughter of Gonzalo de Hijar, Baron of Jalon. She gave him an heir, Giner Rabasa de Perellos y Hijar (IV), as well as a daughter, Ana.
GINER
RABASA DE PERELLOS Y HIJAR (IV) still lived in Valencia, and added the title
of Baron of Dos Aguas. He married Maria de Rocafull, also living in Valencia.
Their children were: Giner Rabasa de Perellos Y Rocafull and Raimonda Rabasa
de Perellos y Rocafull. It is the latter who would become Grand Master of
the Order of Malta. Ramon was born in Valencia in the palace of Dos Aguas,
on September 17, 1637; he died on January 10, 1720.
GINER
RABASA DE PERELLOS Y ROCAFULL (1633-1711) was a Knight of the Order of Alcantara,
in 1673.
He was the first Marquis of Dos Aguos, as Carlos II, in 1699, changed the
title from Baron to Marquis. He married Luisa Pardo de la Casta and had
three children: Giner Rabasa de Perellos y Pardo de la Casta, Maria, the
mother of Felipe Boil de la Scala, of an Italian family, and Inès,
who married Manuel Sarnefsio, the count of Parcent.
GINER RABASA DE PERELLOS Y PARDO DE LA CASTA was also a Knight of the Order of Alcantara and married to Maria de Lanuza y Gilabert, in Valencia, in 1704. They had one child: Giner Rabasa de Perellos y Lanuza.
GINER RABASA DE PERELLOS Y LANUZA was born in Valencia in 1706 and died in June 1765. He married Elena de Lanuza, resulting in these children: Giner Rabasa de Perellos y Lanuza (II), Vicente Rabasa de Perellos y Lanuza, Pascual Rabasa de Perellos y Lanuza, Salvardor Rabasa de Perelles y Lanuza, Maria, Antonia & Josefa.
GINER RABASA DE PERELLOS Y LANUZA II married Joaquina de Paalfox y Silva. Their children were: Giner Rabasa de Perellos y Palafox, Micaela and Joaquina. He died on October 21, 1820.
GINER
RABASA DE PERELLOS Y PALAFOX was the last Perillos. He was born in Valencia
in 1786. He died in Rome, on March 24, 1843, with an heir.
Despite having no heirs, in his testament, made in Rome on February 21,
1843, he named an inheritor: Vicente Dasi Lluesma, deputy and senator of
the king, who received the title of Marquis of Dos Aguas.
The title of Perillos was vacant after 1843… until July 20, 1999, when it was given, by the Spanish State, to Don Íñigo de Arróspide and Valera. This “donation” is part of a Spanish law, where noble titles, which are no longer taken by descendents from one family, can be accorded to other people. Even though the elder branch of the Perillos family died in 1843, the title was resurrected!
